Freelance digital marketing
Freelance digital marketer for SEO, paid ads and B2B lead generation
I'm Kavin P, a freelance digital marketer in Bangalore, India. I help businesses in the US, UK, UAE, Ireland, Canada, Australia and India get found on Google, run paid campaigns that bring enquiries, and turn visitors into qualified leads.
The role
What a freelance digital marketer does
A freelance digital marketer is a self-employed specialist who plans and runs online marketing for clients. The work ranges from a one-off SEO audit to managing paid campaigns every month. What matters is that the marketing is tied to something you can count: enquiries, bookings or sales.
My work covers search engine optimisation, Google and Meta advertising, email marketing and automation, landing pages and WordPress websites, plus the tracking that shows what is working. My background includes paid lead-generation campaigns for logistics and real estate clients, Meta Ads and Google Ads for B2B technology products, email automation and WordPress builds. The details are on the experience page.

Choosing help
Freelancer, agency or in-house hire?
Freelancer
Good for: Direct access to the person doing the work, flexible scope, lower overhead.
Watch for: One person's capacity and skills. Best for focused channels and projects.
Agency
Good for: A team with several specialists and capacity for large or fast-moving work.
Watch for: Often higher cost, and you may not work with senior people day to day.
In-house hire
Good for: Full-time focus and deep knowledge of your business.
Watch for: Salary and management cost, and one person rarely covers every channel.

Working worldwide, remotely
Clients in the US, UK, UAE, Ireland, Canada, Australia and India
I’m based in Bangalore, India and work remotely, with no local offices abroad. Working hours are Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm India time (IST, UTC+5:30). Projects run on written updates, shared reports and scheduled calls, so time zones rarely slow things down.
United States
Meetings: Calls fit the US morning, which is the Indian evening. Day-to-day work runs on written updates and shared dashboards.
Rules to design around: Email follows CAN-SPAM. California and other states have privacy laws that affect tracking and lead data.
Canada
Meetings: The same approach as the US: calls in the Indian evening, written updates in between.
Rules to design around: CASL requires consent for commercial email, PIPEDA covers personal data, and Quebec has French-language requirements for some content.
United Kingdom
Meetings: UK mornings overlap with the Indian afternoon, roughly three hours of shared time that shifts with daylight saving.
Rules to design around: UK GDPR and PECR govern data and email marketing. Prices to consumers are normally shown including VAT.
Ireland
Meetings: The same overlap as the UK.
Rules to design around: EU GDPR applies, with the Data Protection Commission as regulator, and ePrivacy rules cover cookies and email.
United Arab Emirates
Meetings: UAE time is 1.5 hours behind India, so working days overlap almost completely.
Rules to design around: The UAE has a federal personal data protection law. English and Arabic content both matter depending on your audience, and WhatsApp is widely used for business.
Australia
Meetings: Australian mornings overlap with the Indian morning for about three hours in Sydney and Melbourne, and longer in Perth.
Rules to design around: The Spam Act 2003 and Privacy Act 1988 apply, claims must meet Australian Consumer Law, and consumer prices include GST.
India
Meetings: Same time zone. Creative and copy can be produced in English, Hindi and Tamil.
Rules to design around: The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 governs personal data, and festival calendars such as Diwali shape campaign timing.

Frequently asked questions
What does a freelance digital marketer do?
A freelance digital marketer plans and runs online marketing for several clients without being an employee of any of them. The work usually covers SEO, paid advertising on Google and Meta, email marketing, content, tracking and reporting, depending on the person's skills and your needs.
Should I hire a freelancer, an agency or an in-house marketer?
A freelancer suits focused projects, a limited budget and a preference for working directly with the person doing the work. An agency suits larger needs that require many specialists at once. An in-house hire suits a long-term, full-time workload. The guides below compare them in more detail.
Can you work with clients outside India?
Yes. I work remotely with businesses in the United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Ireland, Canada, Australia and India. Updates are written and calls are scheduled in overlapping hours.
How do you price freelance digital marketing work?
Audits, builds and plans are priced as fixed projects. Ongoing work is a monthly fee. Ad spend is always paid by you directly to Google or Meta from your own account. I send a written quote after a discovery call.
Do you guarantee rankings, leads or sales?
No. Nobody can honestly guarantee these. I commit to a clear plan, correct tracking, careful work and regular honest reporting about what is and is not working.
How do we start?
Send a short message about your business, your goal and your current marketing through the contact page. I reply with questions and, if it looks like a fit, a time for a discovery call.
Tell me about your project
Share your business, your goal and where you want to be found. I will reply with an honest view of what I would do first.
