These digital marketing resume tips help recruiters see your value quickly.

Keep it to one or two pages

Use a clean layout with clear headings. Make sure it reads well on a phone and exports as a text-based PDF.

Start with a short summary

Two or three lines covering your role, key skills and what you are looking for. Example: "Digital marketing specialist with experience in SEO, social media and design, seeking international roles."

List relevant skills

Group them: SEO, paid media, social, email, analytics, design and tools. Include only what you can discuss in an interview.

Describe work, not duties

For each role, show what you did and the outcome, such as campaigns you planned, content you produced and tools you managed. Add numbers only when they are accurate and verifiable.

Add your website, portfolio and LinkedIn. Recruiters value real samples.

Tailor every application

Mirror keywords from the job description where they honestly apply. Reorder bullets so the most relevant come first.

Proofread

Check spelling, dates and consistency. Ask a friend to review.

Avoid

Photos where not requested, long paragraphs, vague phrases and invented achievements.
